Joshua Matz is an attorney at Robbins Russell LLP.* He entered private practice after serving as a law clerk to Justice Anthony M. Kennedy of the United States Supreme Court. Previously. Mr. Matz clerked for Judge Stephen Reinhardt of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and for Judge J. Paul Oetken of the Southern District of New York.
In June 2014, Mr. Matz and Professor Laurence Tribe published an award-winning book entitled Uncertain Justice: The Roberts Court and the Constitution. In addition, Mr. Matz and Professor Tribe have co-authored several articles addressing the Supreme Court and questions of constitutional law. Forbes named Mr. Matz to its “30 Under 30” Law & Policy List for 2014, and in 2016 named him an “Alumni All-Star” of past honorees. While at Harvard Law School, Mr. Matz served as Articles & Book Reviews Chair of the Harvard Law Review, and contributed round-ups of news coverage and commentary to SCOTUSblog.
